Please support these worthwhile causes

We invite you to support us by donating money to two immensely worthwhile cycling-related charities:-

Sustrans (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/) - the well-known organisation that is developing the National Cycle Network (over 12,000 miles of cyclist- and walker-friendly routes around Britain) as well as initiatives such as Bike-It (encouraging cycling to school), Connect2 (the winner of the People's Millions Lottery contest on ITV1 in December 2007) and many more.

Re-Cycle (http://www.re-cycle.org/) - whose mission is to collect secondhand bicycles and ship them to Africa. Not only does it help Africans by offering poor people the best means to improve their lives, giving them opportunities to travel to work and school. It also benefits Britain by providing training in bike mechanics, reducing waste and landfill and giving Youth Offending Teams and brain injury rehabilitation volunteers the opportunity to help out in workshops in a safe and supportive environment. Find out more at http://www.re-cycle.org/About.

We have set up 2 Justgiving.com pages at http://www.justgiving.com/Christine-Armstrong and http://www.justgiving.com/stevehsmith/ where you can donate or email us on silverlejog@googlemail.com. Of course, friends and family can drop us an email on the usual addresses or give us a call. Alternatively you can give direct to either or both of the charities here and here.

Thank you so much.
